Scope and Contents A Russian coleopterist of French extraction, Chaudoir early studied with Eschscholtz and Chevrolat under whose tutelage he was nominated to the French Entomological Society. His chief interest was in the Carabidae, with much of his research being published in his native Russian Society of Naturalists, but a goodly part in the French Society's publications.
